Frequently Asked Questions

What do kids learn at The Art Room?
So Much! Aside from being a space for kids to learn social norms and community, we love to nurture creativity by allowing students room for play and room to grow. In our Pre-K-3rd grade classes, kids get free time to work on their own creations at the beginning of class- Then, we do step-by-step, guided lessons! 4th-4th grade kiddos get to choose their projects and we’ll provide individualized feedback.

Can my two children come together even though they should be in different aged classes?
NO- We really don’t recommend your kids be in the same class. The structure of our classes is much different in our older classes, so If one child is in 1st and one is in fourth, one will always lose out on learning opportunities.

My kiddo is three- Can they come to The Art Room?
I’m sorry, no they can’t! Our table stools are not the best place for them to learn, but we would LOVE to see them once they are 4 or 5 and ready for an hour class.

Can we rent out the space for a private party?

Sure can! Head to the “Private Parties” section- We’ve got dets!

Can you do business or holiday parties for adults, too?
Of course! Same details apply from above.

Do your classes qualify for Girl Scout and Boy Scout Patches?
Yes, head to the studio with your troop and complete patches and belt loops. We can open our studio on the weekend to accommodate your troop and we have a patio if you’d like to serve snacks or food. Cost is $35 per student for an hour and a half.  Follow-up classes cost $20/person for ceramic and art patches that involve glazing ceramics and run for 1 hour. If your troop is larger than 12 students, a $75 assistance fee will be charged per party.
